I'm using M-Audio AV-40s and it sounds fantastic.Īnyone complaining about lag or poor performance must have a slow computer or the wrong buffer settings because my 2.53Ghz MBP handles this app no problem. All you need then are good speakers or headphones to truly appreciate the sonic quality. UVI is currently running a 30 off sale till the end of this weekend, and I've been eyeing both the Key Suite Acoustic and Augmented Piano. I've got a modest M-Audio Pro Keys 88sx and even though it's only a semi-weighted keyboard, I can still get a good dynamic range out of my playing after dialing in the velocity settings between the app and my keyboard. So far all three pianos I have on UVI Workstation feel right (Modern U, Model D, Ravenscroft) more often than not, even if I don't always love their sound or their specific limitations. The sample quality is incredible hands down, but what really makes it are the nuances such as the sound of the dampers when you press and release the sustain pedal, the sound of the hammers when you push a key and so on. Ever since I downloaded this app, I seriously have been playing my keyboard twice a day.I didn't even practice this much when I was taking lessons as a kid! It's just insane how much this sounds like a real Steinway. This library contains all presets for the Grand Piano Collection from UVI.
